This topic explains what a Privacy Zone is and how you can use it to hide areas that you do not want others to see.
Privacy Zone
A Privacy Zone is a privacy setting in Strava that allows you to hide a portion of your activity that starts or stops within the zone created from other Strava athletes.
You will need to enter in an address and select a radius to generate a Privacy Zone. Follow the steps in Changing Privacy Controls to generate a Privacy Zone.
Set a Privacy Zone in areas such as your home or workplace.
Considerations
Here are some considerations regarding Privacy Zones for your activity:
- The portion of your activity will not be hidden if you stop or pass through the zone during the activity.
- The Privacy Zone will be applied to all of your previous and new activities once added.
- The portion of your activity hidden with the Privacy Zone will be hidden if you share on social media networks.
